    2. Pamela, Yes, I did get it and was about to reply. I think I have solved the mystery of Edith Eccleston. Your Edith, and Sam's wife were two different people, but I suspect they were related (cousins?). I have found another Eccleston family on the 1881 living at 183 Firs Lane, Westleigh, which is very near Plank Lane. HENRY ECCLESTON 35, Coal Miner, Born Westleigh MARY E ECCLESTON Wife, aged 30, born Manchester with children Ann, 7, James, 6, Alice 4, Martha 2 and Richard Eccleston 3 months, all born in Westleigh. On the 1901 there is an EDITH ECCLESTON, aged 19 born Westleigh, Cotton Spinner. I haven't been able to check the full details, but guess that she is Henry's daughter. Do you know if Isaac Eccleston had a younger brother called Henry?
