Hi, Dave, That's great that you have included Westhoughton, as I can now post another of my surname interests, i.e. SEDDON. In 1881 JAMES and ANN SEDDON, born Wigan, were living on Chorley Road, Hilton House, Westhoughton, with their eldest son EDWARD (my great grandfather), also born Wigan 1855. Three other children, Sarah, John and Charles were born Westhoughton. Edward married ALICE WINSTANLEY and by the 1891 Census had moved to Walter Street, Westleigh with their eldest daughter, SARAH HANNAH (my grandmother). She married ALBERT NICHOLSON, whose parents had moved from Winstanley to Leigh in the 1870's. Albert and Sarah lived in the same house in Plank Lane for 60 years, and moved to Lowton in the 1960's.
