Dear Leo I am sorry that I can not help with your inquiry but I would be extremely grateful if you could help me with an American research one. I am trying to trace the family of Mary and Richard Hornby who emigrated to America some time between 1901, when they married in England, to about1912. They had 3 children, Thomas, Sarah, and Mary and settled in Michigan, Lincoln Park. Each child married and had children. Thomas stayed in Lincoln Park I think and had 4 children. A daughter who moved to Nashville, a son who moved to Texas, the other two I do not know anything about. Sarah had 3 Thomas or Tommy, Ronnie and Joan. Ronnie I think ended up in Texas. Mary ended up in Gary Indiana Married a police man and had at least 2 children, a boy and a girl. All this info has been gleaned from letters written by Sarah to a cousin in England during the 1950's. There must be living relatives still about in USA so if you or anybody can help with tracing them I would be very grateful. Any web sights that would be useful to me would also be good. Many thanks in advance. Reg Lowe.

Hello Keith, You wrote - > Sorry can not find any Bannisters in Tyldesley cemetery upto 1922, thats as > far as my records go at the moment, I hope to be up to 1954 in the next few > months. Is it any particular year you are hoping to find the Bannisters? Thank you very much for looking in your database for any Bannisters buried at Tyldesley cemetery and note that there are none upto 1922. My grandmother had five brothers and a sister and I know very little about them or their families including when they died. I was hoping to trace some of them backwards from their deaths. If I may I will e-mail you in a few months to see if you have come across any after 1922. Kind regards, John.

Hello Keith, Thank you for your recent offer to do look ups in your database of burials at Tyldesley Cemetery. Would you mind looking to see if there are any burials for the BANNISTER family at Tyldesley? Best regards, John.
I have a Vonley Yates aged 25, gardener, Father Thomas Yates, marrying in Lowton in 1928 an Alice Huxley. Has anybody any information on this couple? In particular I am interested in the groom's first name, Vonley. Has anyone ever struck it before - where does it come from etc?
