    3. Hello Kaye Sorry for the delay in responding. It seems all my time has been taken up learning about Groups.io and managing the new groups there. I'm sorry if my message to the list wasn't clear. There will be no new Lancaster list. The list has been inactive with no posts, except those from me, for over a year. Croston and Preston are likewise inactive so those lists will not be replaced at Groups.io [email protected] encompasses all of Lancashire. If you have queries or information about any area of historical Lancashire, please join that list and post to it. Lists for other areas which were active on RootsWeb, namely Bolton, Liverpool and Manchester & Salford, which I also admin, have been created on Groups.io. It's fairly easy to find lists under Groups.io. Administrators who have moved their lists there have been careful to include keywords, such as RootsWeb, genealogy, and family history. To find one of the new groups, go to <https://groups.io/search> and enter a word or words in the search field at the upper right of the screen. For example, if you're searching for a Lancashire family history group, enter the words LANCASHIRE and GENEALOGY into the search field. When the results appear, you can click on the name of the list to be taken to the home page. From there you can request to join the group. Hope that helps and that you'll join some of the new Lancashire groups. Kind regards, Lynne Kaye Horne wrote: > >Hi Lynne, > >I have not had an invitation to join a few of the roots web lists, I did get one for Croston, so far nothing further on this Lancaster list, or anything at all on my Preston one, do you “own” all of them. I tried to find a list under the new system where I could just choose which ones I wanted to belong to but have been unable to find them. It was so easy under Rootsweb. > >Thanks for your time. >Kaye
