From "Your Family History" magazine comes this book announcement: "Life on the Lancaster Canal" by Janet Rigby Landy Publishing, ISBN 187289562 "The Lancaster canal, from Kendal to Preston, was the M6 of the 18th century. Here Jane Rigby traces its history and lives of the people who worked on it. "This little book explored various families (ROBINSONS, BAINES and NEEDHAMS) and provides an interesting general record of this waterway, which only joined the national canal system in 2003." I have not read the book, but it sounds interesting. :-) Best wishes, Lynne
