    1. Re: [FYLDE] Albert St Fleetwood
    2. Hi Olive In 1901 I have the family at 20 N Albert Street. In 1881 and 1891 they are at - 36 London Street. Thornton. Back in 1871 they are at 'Melbourne' Gt Ecclestoon when Thomas Reynolds is a rush merchant. I don't remember lots of rushes around Gt Eccleston! Sorry no connection that I know of with Cumpsty of Gt Eccleston. I know that Thmas's wife Christina Calder lived with her parents at 42 Warren Street, Thornton (1851). Her father was a ship wright and came from Scotland. I was looking for my husband's mother's family in S Wales whe we managed to find living cousins. They are descended directly from the Reynolds. Many thanks for answering, I really appreciate the trouble you are taking - Jackie Hi Jackie I will have a drive up to Fleetwood some time and take a look, do you have a street number? I have still to do some photographs for others on the list, but this heat wave has kept me indoors. I am hoping that during the school holidays I can "ask" my daughter to drive around and help with the pictures, in case I cannot park directly where the houses are. I am not very good at walking at the moment. For instance, if there are yellow lines or parked cars where I need to be I would be stuck. Do you have any connection with the name Cumsty in Gt Eccleston? Olive

    3. Hi Jackie As Julie has found that no 20 is now the Library, then there is no point in a modern day photograph. I imagine there will be something re the site of which is now the Library. I do remember shops just around the corner, but not exactly on the corner. Rush merchant, I wonder what this is, do you think it could be that they used for thatching? There could be a lot of these around over Wyre. If Julie is still out there, I am sure she will think, like me, that London St and Warren St are the ones that are in Fleetwood. On the census as Thornton at that date. Shipwright sounds about right for Fleetwood. Olive
