Good morning list, Just reading the info on Theatres and my grandfather (George Taylor) was an entertainer on stage in Blackpool around the 1920's, at the time he lived in Fylde (where my Dad was born) and then he moved his family to Layton, just wondering what Theatre/s would he most likely have performed in and how could I find some info on his talents. My Aunty (his daughter) is still living in Blackpool and said he was a "whistler" and a tune called "Silver Birds" was written especially for him and apparently he was very popular, but my grandmother was sick of him being out every night so she burnt his music sheets, I think he then turned to playing the spoons. He was also a photographer and took pics of the tourists visiting Blackpool beach, he would then sell them as souvenirs.
