Dear Listers, As it states in the Welcome Message, RootsWeb's mail servers cannot and will not process list messages unless they are in plain text. Too much of my time is spent returning bounced messages to subscribers who have attempted to send HTML messages to the list. I'd much rather spend that time doing research, alerting you to interesting sites and events, wrapping gifts, or doing just about anything else. As of today, I will not be forwarding HTML bounce notices back to subscribers to ask them to reformat their messages in plain text. If you send a message to the list and it doesn't appear in the list's archives, it will be up to you to check to make sure that you've sent it in plain text. If you don't know how to set your e-mail up to send plain text messages, the instructions at http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/listadmins/plaintext.html may be helpful. As always, if you have questions or comments about this message or any other administrative matter, please write to me privately off list and I'll do my best to assist you. Best wishes, Lynne
