    3. Yes I have access to the film Carol, but I'm sorry I can't offer lookups. There is a big problem, namely, no index or anything like that. Hence, names have to be painstakingly searched for under each church by starting at the beginning and continuing to the end. Not a happy prospect if there are several eager Listers requesting information, especially if the names turn out not to be there after all!! I will see if I can give some examples of the information on the film in a few days and this will help others to decide if they want to look at the film themselves. It might be worth pointing out though that, particularly for St Mark's which I concentrated on, there were three unexpected bonuses that helped me a good deal. They were 1/ In some cases, brief one-line street addresses or the place name where the grave owner lived, or where individuals who were interred had been living, had been pencilled in. 2/ I found that the full names of one particular ancestor of mine were written and provided an unknown given name ( not even shown on her birth or marriage certificates!) that enabled me to identify her maternal grandmother (from 100s of miles away in Scotland) with certainty. 3/ Sometimes, not all those interred in a grave had the same surname. This again helped me to link individuals and families and made me sure of some information that had only previously been a possibility. It seems to me that this type of unexpected information is what gets us through those brick walls.
