Hello Peter, Welcome to the Eccles Mailing List. I have an ancestor by the name of Anne Kay. Anne Kay was born 1796 in Eccles to parents James Kay (born 1765) and Catherine Hurst. James & Catherine married 23 February, 1784 at Eccles Parish Church. They had 11 children from 1785 - 1805 Alice/Thomas/Mary/John/Emanuel/James/Maria/ William/ANNE/Wilbraham/James ANNE KAY married John Edwards - Eccles Parish Church 19 February 1822. John & Anne had 9 children William/Ezekiel/Thomas EDWARDS my g.g.g.grandfather) John/James/Robert/Isaac/Martha/Samuel Anne Edwards (nee Kay) died 2 November 1872 and was buried in Eccles Parish Church graveyard.
