Hi All One of my relatives died in Hopwood Av, Eccles in 1928. Does anyone have any idea where he might be buried. Is there any index that I could use to locate the grave. Also, what would the name of local news paper be in those days. I'm hoping to be able to find published messages of condolence. Regards Sean
Hello Sean, Though I cannot reply to your question I was interested in contacting you because of your email address. I have Moore relatives who lived in Eccles in 1800's and wondered if there could be any connection. George Moore married Hannah Whittle c. 1812 and had three children - Samuel, Amelia and Henry. Henry was my grgrgrandfather who came to Australia in the early 1850's. The Moores lived in Church Street, Bartons Lane and Timothy Close in Eccles. These children were from George's second marriage. His first marriage was to Elizabeth Woods, who died in 1812. There were five children from the first marriage. I would be interested to know of any connections. Cheers, Glenda Rowe Perth, Western Australia. PMOORE7151@aol.com wrote: Hi All One of my relatives died in Hopwood Av, Eccles in 1928. Does anyone have any idea where he might be buried.
