Quick message to the Eccles-listers, I admit to scrolling through all these records hoping to catch a lead. Never do, but oh well. Everytime I see the surname LAMB I become so excited. Why? Because its one of my ancestral names. Why is it silly? Because my Lamb line is across the country in London and has been for hundreds of years---never have my Lambs even touched Eccles soil. Haha. I tend to group my surnames by groups---one being my great great grandfather. His father was from Eccles, his mother (the Lamb) from London. So, whenever I see LAMB associated with Eccles I have a fit of excitement. However, it is not even close to where I'm researching the name. Haha. I suppose it is just lateness, or maybe I should give up genealogy for a while and find a more suitable hobby. Haha. (Never would give it up, though, not even for the Hope Diamond.) I must have checked my database 12 times when I see the LAMB surname in these messages. Each time, I remind myself "Your Lambs are even close to where these are from!"
