Hi listers I am trying to trace the the following families: John Mayo, bleacher, Father James Mayo, dyer Elizabeth Johnson , - , Father James Johnson, collier They married in the Parish Church Eccles on November 18 1838 and are both minors at this time. The place of residence given is Pendleton. According to the 1881 census, Elizabeth was born about 1821 in Salford, John had already died so I don't know where he was born. I know of 3 definite children from the marriage: Mary Ellen b 1857 Levenshulme, Eliza b 1861 Reddish, Sarah b 1862 Reddish, but assume there were others because of the gap between marriage and these births. One of the witnesses at Eliza's wedding was Edward Mayo so he is possibly another child. Does anyone connect to any of these families? Thanks Lyn Helps
