His brothers are George, William, and possibly Richard. Richard may be the father. All are found in the USA in Virginia,Tennessee & Kentucky late 1700's, early 1800's. I would like to hear from anyone who has knowledge of the background of this family in England. Elizabeth Bailey eebailey@pldi.net USA

    2. Dear Paul, Thank you for your response to my inquiry. The WRIGHT family in Flixton is a new discovery for me. Margaret WRIGHT married Joseph BRAY and lived in Cheshire. The marriage certificate was on the Cheshire BMD list. They were married at St. Michael's in Flixton, 1857. I will save your response, I share any information I find. 3. Hello Carol, I read your message to the group with great interest this morning, one of the witnesses at the wedding of my gt gt grandparents, James Barrow to Margaret Johnson on the 15th October 1856 at Eccles Parish Church, was a Mr Joseph Wright, their place of residence at the time of the wedding was the Davyhulme / Flixton area. I wonder if Joseph had any connection with the Wright family that you are researching ? Incidentally their first son was christened Wright Barrow. 3. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol, TreeTops" <tree.tops@virgin.net> To: <TREETOPS-NEWS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 10, 2002 8:03 PM Subject: [TREETOPS-NEWS] Great Grand Parents Special Weeks Hi all, Quite a few Mailing Lists at the moment seem to be doing a sort of roll call on Great Grand Parents so I think it would be a great idea for Tree Tops to have something similar. The majority of people have 4 sets of grandparents so that means instead of having one special week on the television we would get four. If you could send your 4 messages, subject GGP, approx 40 words, and please include either a UK telephone number or postal address as well as your e-mail addy then they will go on screen in the order that you send them. As you all know they will then be placed on this Mailing List minus the telephone numbers and postal address. This gives you the advantage of not only reaching those with access to the internet but also those who have no computer, and they just may be your missing link. If for some reason you have more than 4 sets of great grandparents, do let me know and I will relax the normal rule of one message, per person, per week. Now sitting back hoping to get lots and lots of messages. Please feel free to pass this message around. 3. Edge Fold lies between Worsley and Walkden (about 2/3 of the way to Walkden) on the West side of Walkden Road. This road was previously known as Shaving Lane. I think up to about 10 or so families would have been listed in censuses of 1861, 1871 as living at Edge Fold. 3. Hi Mike, things have been hectic here, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Thank you for the advice. I'd read somewhere about the taking of rooms for just a few weeks prior to a wedding, and even of just leaving a suitcase there, but was hoping that these addresses would be useful for searching the 1841 census. I'm keeping an open mind, but am still hoping someone can check this I give me the folio #s. Good luck on your search, Sandy --- mikehal <mikehal@blueyonder.co.uk> wrote: > Hello Sandy, bear in mind that you could be being > mislead by the addresses > on the marriage certificate.
