This is Cross posted, Apologies if you see this more than once. Hi everyone, Over the last week or so, Carol and I have been swamped with bounced messages due to: 1. Mail boxes are FULL 2. Rootsweb mail being marked as spam by ISPs. The ISPs which are causing the problems are: breathemail.net and cgocable.net Also there is a problem with Hotmail addresses. (See below) BTinternet also seems to be generating bounces. I have written to those affected subscribers AND the support addresses of the relevent ISPs. Please contact your ISPs and ask them to stop refusing Rootsweb mail. One subscribe address alone created more than 200 bounces which is very time consuming. Bounces. The robot at Rootsweb is set to automatically unsubscribe after FOUR bounces. Hotmail. There seems to have been problems with Hotmail for several weeks now, off and on, and remember after 4 bounces you are removed from the list by the robot. The way to deal with this is use the DIGEST version of the list as this does not seem to be affected. The Hotmail problem is widespread and Rootsweb are dealing with Hotmail directly, trying to resolve the problem. I will look at old school photographs and if I find anything, will let you know, meanwhile try salfordonline.com as it has it's core in Eccles and spreads out just a few miles either side. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Katlvr9999@aol.com> To: <ENG-LAN-ECCLES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 12, 2002 5:17 PM Subject: [ECCLES] GANDY, Percy and Betty (nee FOX), and son John > The above FOXes were living at "Kingsley", Chatsworth Road, Eccles in late > 1931; I think their little boy, John, was somewhere between age 2 and age 4 > at the time. > > Betty was a cousin of my mother (Mary Elizabeth SEWALL [nee IZETT]). > > I'd love to find them (at least John and possible descendants)!! > > > ==== ENG-LAN-ECCLES Mailing List ==== > Have you tried? > C J Genealogical Collections > Web Page http://freespace.virgin.net/genealogical.collections > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > >
The above FOXes were living at "Kingsley", Chatsworth Road, Eccles in late 1931; I think their little boy, John, was somewhere between age 2 and age 4 at the time. Betty was a cousin of my mother (Mary Elizabeth SEWALL [nee IZETT]). I'd love to find them (at least John and possible descendants)!!
