    3. There is a web page giving their contact details but it is just an address and telephone number http://northturton.com/edgworth/history_society.html I manage to stop off in Bolton once or twice a year and have a look around the local bookshops. I have seen the booklets in Sweeten's Bookshop but they don't seem to have a website. They list 27 of the booklets, going back to 1975, about one published every year. By the way Valerie, there a couple of very handy maps showing farms and boundaries in the area, I am sure many would find them useful if permission could be got to put on your website. (The website is at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~boltongenealogy/index.htm Rachel). Rachel, do you want a map showing Shore Farm? The file is probably over 1MB Martin Briscoe Fort William M&LFHS | Gwynedd FHS -----Original Message----- From: eng-lan-bolton-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:eng-lan-bolton-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Rachel O'Brien Sent: 17 September 2006 04:51 To: eng-lan-bolton@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [ENG-LAN-BOLTON] New to the List - HOLT's in Turton & Egerton Valerie, thanks so much I really appreciate your help. You mentioned your website - is it possible to have a look at it? I have seen a photo of the Globe Inn on another website but it cut off the buildings next door so I would love to see a photo of the cottages as well. >From all the email's it looks as though Shore Farm is no longer there - >what a pity as it was in the Holt family for two or three generations (allegedly) although I need to do more research as this does not correspond to the Turton LHS series of books mentioned by Martin. Would you or anyone else have an address for the Turton LHS where I could purchase these books. Thanks again, you've been so helpful. Rachel
