I have noticed that in Bolton Archives they have a collection of Crompton family history papers. These was collected by a Thomas CROMPTON. Apparently they were given to Bolton in 1986. But, they failed to keep a record of who this Thomas C. he himself gave them. Does anyone know who he was. I have not seen the collection and am only going from Bolton own index and a2a headings.
