Hi Anne/Phil, It is still accessible as at 5.30pm, just been there. You have to register as Anne, explained, but it is not exactly user friendly thereafter either. You probably need to disable any computer resident pop-up blocker software, well I had to, and have a suitable image viewer installed on your PC. I use Irfanview - it worked fine, and I was able to view downloaded images, no probs. After your registration page is displayed, click on Brit origins on top of page, then Search by name, then select appropriate database. You will find however, that at not all databases are free! Also some of the databases are rather limited in their coverage, but at least they are free.
