    1. RE: [ENG-LAN-BOLTON] ELLEN FIELDING- TURTON
    2. Pete Hulme
    3. Thanks, Anne, this is really good. I had seen the Thomas born to John and Betty in the IGI, but I had nothing that linked him to "my" Thomas. You finding this cluster of Fielding's, all with ages that tie in with births to that couple makes a much more credible link. I've been looking in the IGI and it looks like there are six children that may be attributable to John and Betty;- Ellen 1812 - who you found likely married Thomas Booth Betty 1814 Thomas 1816 - my ancestor, age consistent with everything else I have Hannah 1819 Alice 1821 John 1822 - The one you found and likely the neighbour in 1841 There is also a marriage of John Fielding to a Betty Openshaw on 2 Jan 1811 I think there is a good likely hood that this is a family connection. Interestingly all the baptisms show as St Peter Bolton Le Moors except for John. He appears 3 times, all on 16 June 1822 and two entries show Turton, whilst the third shows St Peter's. My Thomas shows his birth as Little Lever in the 1861 census, so the family may have been in Little Lever in 1816 but in Turton in 1822. I think this piecing together of the story is what fascinates me in researching the family history! Cheers, Pete -----Original Message----- Hi again Pete, I have just looked on the IGI and there is an Ellen Fielding c. 19.1.1812 St. Peter's, Bolton, parents John and Betty Fielding, so it looks as though she is the sister of Thomas and John.
