Hi Andrea, If it's the same Smith Street (Farnworth) then I had ancestors (the Mitchells) living there in 1881 and 1901. In 1881 they were at number 17 and in 1901 had moved to 31, with their daughter, Charlotte, now Brierly living opposite at number 34. I have copies of all the census pages for 1901 for Smith Street if it helps, though its a bit after the date you were looking for. Cheers, Pete Hulme
