Hi Marian, A request please for any information from the Dent Registers re:- A marriage between William Burrow and Alice????. There is a son of the marriage name of William born 31 March 1864 in Laineing Dent, Cert. states mother Alice, no mention of Father. When William (son) marries Mary Elizabeth Edwards in Bolton 14 April 1889. The cert. states Father William (deceased) William came from Dent to Bolton during the period 1882-- 1886 to join the police force. Hi Marian, I must apologise, I've just realised that I didn't reply to your message. Dent is a bit outside my normal research area but I'm only just working on the period around the turn of the 19c with the Bantons and Benthams, so anything is certainly possible. As a result, I'd flagged the message with the intention of having a quick check for any obvious links before replying, so that I could give you the good news if there was any. Then I got sidetracked and as I get over 100 emails every day your message temporarily became swamped and has only just reappeared. I can't immediately find a link, but I've now entered these names into my list of un-linked Benthams so that they'll be included future checks, and of course I'll let you know if anything turns up.
