Hi Colin and Margaret, I am researching my husband's Burrows family, sometimes spelled Burrow or Borough. His gt. gt. gt. grandfather Robert Burrows married Betty Mayoh of Turton on 26.10.1796, at Bolton Parish Church. I have been unable to find a baptism record for a Robert Burrows in this area and I am wondering if he came from the Dent area, as Burrow is a common name up there. Have you come across a Robert Burrow born about 1770 during your research. I have found a Robert Burrow c. 5.4.1763 Dent to John and Elizabeth. My husband's gt. gt. grandfather was named John and he signed himself John Borough on his marriage. Kind regards, Anne in Bolton. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Colin & Margaret" <marlin.2817@ntlworld.com> To: <ENG-LAN-BOLTON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, May 14, 2006 1:19 PM Subject: Re: [ENG-LAN-BOLTON] Introduction > Hi, Pete....
