Martin: I apologize for "piggy-backing" on another listers message, but I am so far unable to get back beyond 1841 with the Springfield family. I know some of them were still in Bolton in 1841 on Derby Street. The adult males had come to the USA prior to the 1841 census. That suggests they may have been in Bolton in 1831, 1821 or even 1811. Could I impose on you to check those censuses for Springfield's? It is possible they were in Manchester sometime during that period. I don't know if census records exist for Manchester prior to 1841. Thank you! Regards, Ron Springfield, Florida, USA rhspri2@aol.com
