    3. Thank you for the 1841 census page, Sue. That's great and it answers two questions, my Fieldings were not in the Volunteer in 1841 and there are still three distinct dwellings listed as "Volunteer" so it must be a block, not the pub itself. The census page throws up another question (as is so often the case with these things!) On the right hand page, about half way down we find Betsy Fielding aged 4. There's a very strong chance that this is Betsy, the daughter of Thomas and Alice who are in Volunteer in 1851 and 1861, but if so where are the parents and the other two children who had been born by then (John, 1837 and James 1840). Another little mystery for me to investigate :-) Cheers, Pete -----Original Message----- From: Sue Chapman [mailto:susan.chapman4@ntlworld.com] Sent: 15 May 2006 07:00 To: Pete Hulme Subject: Re: [ENG-LAN-BOLTON] Volunteer in 1841 Here you are Pete Thanks I have 1851 but would appreciate 1861 if not too much trouble Sue
