Starting to delve into my wife's family history and have come up against a name that doesn't seem too common at first glance. My mother-in-law's father, Louis Ashton, married a Mary VANSTON b1903. She had a brother called Gilbert and their parents were Robert George VANSTON b1876 and Margaret Alice (surname unknown). Just wondering whether there is anyone else reseraching the VANSTON surname and who might have some useful links. Kind regards... David Allan.
