Hi If SKS is going to Bolton Archives would appreciate a look up please. I am interested in an Inquest held on the 5th October 1936 for a Margaret Alice WOODBURN. Thanks for any help. Tina
If family died in or near Halliwell, which cemetery would they most likely be buried in. Am talking of the 1900's. Thanks Tina
Any of the municipal cemeteries, probably depending on family connections or there is quite a large burial ground at St Peter's Church, Halliwell. A verdict of death from natural causes was reached on Margaret Alice Woodburn, 61, of 47 Harold Street, Bolton. Samuel Woodburn, retired spinner, said he and his wife had gone into town about 7 oclock on Saturday. Half an hour later, whilst they were in Bradshawgate, the deceased complained of feeling ill. He took her into a shop where she was given tea and brandy, and afterwards took her home in a taxi. About two hours later she collapsed and was dead when a doctor arrived. Medical evidence showed that death was due to cardiac failure, as a result of fatty degeneration of the heart". Valerie > -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Hi Valerie, Thanks so much for taking the time to look this up for me. It is very much appreciated. In a sad way it shows they had a life together and he was a caring husband. Thanks again Tina
