Hi Bob, I don't believe it. I have just through all the 1841 Census in Bolton looking for a surname for someone on the list, from the references I got at the library today. Anne in Bolton. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Thornley" <bob@thornleysystems.co.uk> To: <ENG-LAN-BOLTON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2006 7:11 PM Subject: [ENG-LAN-BOLTON] 1841 Now on Ancestry > Hi, > The 1841 Census is now available on Ancestry.com > > It's not on the main list where you might expect to find it (yet), it's > under 'recent' databases. > > Rgds, Bob Thornley, Bolton > > ==== ENG-LAN-BOLTON Mailing List ==== > To switch from one mode to the other, unsubscribe from one and then > subscribe to the other. > > ============================== > Census images 1901, 1891, 1881 and 1871, plus so much more. > Ancestry.com's United Kingdom & Ireland Collection. Hi Anne, 'Twas ever thus. It'll be interesting to see if Ancestry adds to those on your list or omits any from it. We don't know yet how well indexed it is. I can say that at first sight the scans are better quality than those on the S&N Cds, as they are for the later censuses.
