Hi Martha, I can't help with Bernard LEFLEY, but by coincidence, last night I was struggling to find Henry Portrey GOODRICH in the census returns. He appears on FreeBMD born June Q 1852 in Thetford, then marrying Alice Jane THORNLEY (this is where I got interested) in Bolton in March Q 1877. He's mentioned as H P GOODRICH husband of Alice on a headstone at New Chapel URC, Horwich, recording Alice's death aged 24 on 8 Jan 1878, possibly in childbirth. I can't find him in any census other than the 1881 where he's Henry GOODERICH (sic), a fruiterer born Methwald, Norfolk, living with Alice Jane's parents John & Alice THORNLEY. I wonder now if he could have been with your Bolton GOODRICHes in PA?
