Advice needed urgently! I am hunting for Kennerdales in the Bolton/Bolton Le Moors/Gt Bolton/Little Bolton area around 1800-1830. I have ancestry so have managed to find all those, including variations of which there are many,who appear in all censuses. However I have been unable to find any marriages, baptisms or burials other than those on the IGI which are limited. Is there any way to find this sort of info online pre 1837, or could anyone possibly look up any of the PR's? I would be so grateful for some help!!! Im looking for ANY mention of the name in any register to try and piece together what little I already have! Many thanks Judith

Hi Judith, The following baptisms are listed on the CD 'St Mary's Deane Parish Church Baptisms 1813 to 1886' produced by Bolton & District Family History Society and available from http://www.mlfhs.org.uk/Bookshop/index.html 25/5/1817 Richd Kennerdell (sic) 11/4/1819 John Kennerdell (sic) 5/8/1821 Thomas Kennerdell (sic) 7/9/1823 Hannah Kennerdel (sic) Parents Edward (a weaver) and Mary, Gt Bolton. You haven't said where you are, so I don't know whether to recommend visits to local sources of information, but you could in any case look at the other items listed on the MLFHS bookshop webpage above. Unfortuntely, you should be aware that some records are only accessible by visiting the church where the event took place.
