Hi Martin There is always the chance that the church register contains information that is not on the official certificate. But this is one fo the registers extracted through the Lancashire OnLine Parish Clerks site, which may be viewed here:- http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/Farnworth-with-Kearsley/index.html All information in the register is presented. It would seem in this case there is no additional information. The extratcion shows the followng:- Marriage: 26 Jun 1853 St John the Evangelist, Farnworth with Kearsley, Lancashire, England John Cooke - 22 Joiner Bachelor of Farnworth Caroline Briscoe - (X), 21 Spinster of Farnworth Groom's Father: Joseph Cooke, Tailor Bride's Father: Peter Briscoe, Hair Cutter Witness: Thomas Horslin; Margaret Wynn Married by After Banns by: Richard Birk Register: Marriages 1849 - 1858, Page 111, Entry 222 Source: LDS film 4089879 It seems the withness name must have been hard to read, I will correct that later.
