    3. Hi Folks, I am gathering some info. for a friend who is looking into his WALKER ancestry, here in Westhoughton. The earliest record I can find is an apprentice indenture of 1751. Also we have an early gravestone in the churchyard at St Bartholomews for Peter Walker, buried 1765 and his wife Anne buried 1794, there is also a son Peter but here the stone is broken! This gravestone has an inscription - " "Remember man as thou passeth by as thou art now so once was I "As I am now, so thou must be, remember man that thou must die" If you have Westhoughton -Walker family interests, please contact me.
