Hello from Victoria Thanks to the person who sent the suggestion for the above site. I accidentally deleted the email with this site recommended so do not know the sender I had a good look at a number of publications, The Bolton Archives article was interesting and had two mentions of my Harwood family which I was able to print. also Saturday Night Markets in Manchester and Salford 1840-1939 This article is absolutely fascinating and does have mention of a Bolton market. This site is well worth browsing. http://www.mcrh.mmu.ac.uk/pubs/mrhrind.htm thanks again for sharing. Aldyth Hunter, Victoria BC
Some interesting stuff there, I have downloaded quite a few. Some years ago I spotted a few films in the North West Film Archive that sounded as if they might have some connections with my family. I was able to get them to put them on a VHS tape for a modest cost and I think one film has my Grandfather on it.
