I had a great aunt Mary (aka Polly) nee Worthington from Middle Hulton (Deane Parish, born in the 1890s) she married a Ted (probably Edward) Grundy - they lived in Little Hulton for most of their married life - he was a miner. I don't know if this helps, but I thought it would mention it all the same. My Grundy connection is only through marriage when my relative William Stuart married Sarah Ellen Grundy in 1882 so I have not investigated the Grundy line particularly. My interest is in tracing anyone connected to William Grundy Stuart of Wigan who died in May 1956 and whose Grundy cousin from Bolton registered his death. Hi My Grundy line basically stops at James c1815 and Ellen (Holliday) as they only had 4 Girls Margaret 1842, Elizabeth 1844, Ellen 1848 and Hannah (my G Grandmother) 1850. I have no further info on Elizabeth but Ellen married a Thomas Morley and died in 1874 then Thomas married her sister Margaret who then died in 1883. Thomas and Ellen had 3 children Clarrisa, Margaret and James but Thomas and Margaret had no children that I could find. Hannah married John Slack and had 7 children the youngest Albert my Grandfather. I have not succeeded in going further back than James as have not had the time or money so get certificates etc needed as yet.
