Hi Jacqui, Just realised that I didn't thank you for looking up the Norths in the census. I also can't find Elizabeth North's mother Mary (surname unknown - she seems to have gotten around- in the census for 1871 so I think that they may have been in some other part of Lancashire at the time of the census.
