    3. Hi Margaret, I've just looked for Vauze House on the 1891 Census. This is what I found. Vose House, Wigan Lane, Coppull, Chorley Richard Ainscough, Coal Mine Underlooker, 45, born Wrightington A few doors further along Wigan Lane there is a Morris family as follows: William Morris, 60 Gen.Labourer, born Shevington Margaret, wife, 66, born Wrightington Susannah, daur, 20, Basket Maker, born Shevington 1901 Census - the Ainscough's are still living at Vose House, but the Morris's have moved to Hunger Hill, Westhoughton. In view of what Martin says relating to the age of the post card it is unlikely that this would be the same Mrs.Morris, but I throw it in for what it's worth. There was no-one called Dorothy in the Ainscough household. The Electoral Roll would tell the tale.
