I thought that Ancestry had indexed all the census apart from some missing pieces which they list on the site. Though last week I did find one piece around Bury missing and it was not on their list. That does seem to happen from time to time. Hi Martin Thanks for comment My question was borne out of past experiences--- When I was researching Monmouthshire I discovered the 1861 census a presented was only [as I recall] about 60% of the total, the balance having been destroyed or lost Hence my question Regards Robert From the Roaring Forties
