    3. Margaret: My family tree shows the listing of a number of William Horrocks. 1 William Horrocks, b abt 1594 Rumsworth, Deane Parrish, Lancashire, 2 William Horrocks, b 22 December 1639. Rumsworth, Deane Parrish, Lancashire, 3 William Horrocks, b 15 May 1711 Rumsworth, Deane Parrish, Lancashire, d June 1804 4 William Horrocks, b abt 1740 Rumsworth, Deane Parrish, Lancashire, 5 William Horrocks, b abt 1773 I really have no record of residency d 14 Oct. 1863 6 William Horrocks, b abt 1778 I really have no record of residency I really have no idea if any of these supplied references are germane to the particular William to whom you are referring; nevertheless, it is remarkably interesting. If nothing else, it is remarkably interesting, I just hope that somebody puts in the same amount of labor and interest as you have to find the history of a poor soul that may have had a very bumble life and died in a work house, probably penniless and in despair, say nothing of alone. It just goes to prove, however lowly in life's station, we may consider ourselves, each of us matters. That was a lesson that was taught to me in Vietnam, that soaked in years after living in guilt, as to why I survived and so many good men, friend, warriors died. God has a purpose for us all, evidentially, he had further work for me. As it turned out, it was the rearing in 5 very successful children, and being the full time mentor of hundreds more. Hard lives are a real gift, it gives you strength of character to rise above it. Bless you, for your caring heart.
