I'm hoping that some knowledgable person on the list may be able to advise me...please. Thomas REED, b.1811 and Elizabeth ROSTRON, b.1814 were my Gt Gt Grandparents. They were married on 26.4.1835 at St. Peters, Bolton le Moors. I have a copy of the parish record. It gives no helpful detail for going back another generation, other than 'both of this parish'. So, I have searched for a Thomas Reed born in 1811, and an Elizabeth Rostron born in 1814. The nearest that I have found is an Eliza Rostron christened in 1815, but as there are both Eliza's and Elizabeths among the grandchildren of Elizabeth and Thomas, I don't think that this could be the one. I don't like the idea of taking 'pot luck', but I don't know how I can go back accurately for another generation. Could anyone please advise me? Sylvia Wilcox, Sydney,
