I have some information on the family of William Walkden and Elizabeth Whalley Walkden from Horwich. They had 11 children that I've found from 1868-1890 so this could be a later generation to yours. I don't know anything about how they ended up in Horwich as the Walkdens married into my family so are an auxiliary branch. Horwich Heritage has put out a CD of parish records for Holy Trinity Church. It had a lot of christenings for this family. Not all years are included on the CD.
