Hi Alison, I have no connection to Howrich/Rivingtom Area yet but I have a John WALKDEN b. abt. 1804 in Bolton who married Alice (NONAME) and they had a daughter Sarah WALKDEN b. abt. 1825 also in Bolton. Hi Jeremy, At the moment I can't find any connection with your John WALKDEN. Although Daniel was born 1808 I'm certain he came from Horwich ( the census also bears this out ) . The first WALKDEN in my line to live in Bolton was Daniel's son Robert( my Gt.GT. Grandfather ) who married a Ann WALKER 1850 and moved from Blackrod to Bolton. So beginning my line of WALKDENs in Bolton itself.
