Hi Lynne, I suspect the surname change on the military papers occurred because his birth certificate was produced for some reason. Perhaps they preferred that the records were made in his registered surname as opposed to the one he used in every day life. Hopefully, Frank's birth certificate could reveal the truth behind the surname. It's possible that Mary is a Mary Buskey who was at least honest enough to register the children's births under her own name (whether it be a maiden or previous married name) whilst not being married to George Walker. I'd be interested to find out what the papers say :o) Regards, Sally ---------------------------------------- > Date: Mon, 14 Nov 2011 11:16:26 -0500 > From: lklein@mindspring.com > To: eng-lan-bolton@rootsweb.com; lancsgen@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [LAN] Frank BUSKEY et al. > > > Hi Sally > Brilliant! > Many, many thanks for all of the BUSKEY info.
