Hi All: Seeking birth information of RICHARD CUNLIFFE, the son of JAMES CUNLIFFE and ANN. Richard was born in Bolton or Little Bolton. He married CATHERINE who was born about 1780, based on her age at death. She died 18 August 1828 in Charleston, South Carolina. Richard and Catherine had two daughters that we know of. Jane Matilda Cunliffe born about 1810 in Little Bolton and died 8 March 1877 in Charleston, South Carolina. The other daughter was mentioned without name in his obituary. Jane Matilda Cunliffe married James Thompson, middle name possible Ira. No date of marriage but their first child was born in Charleston, South Carolina about 1836. We assume they were married in Bolton, but that is speculation. I have searched the Lancashire website, but cannot locate without surnames or dates. Comments and suggestions appreciated, John L.
