I have ordered the death certificate for Mary RAWLING ad it shows that she died 25 August 1924 at Chorley New Road, Horwich aged 80 years. I am wondering if I might be able to find where she might be buried please? Kind Regards Kevin Wilson Brisbane Qld Australia

Horwich had a municipal cemetery and it is possible that she was buried in Holy Trinity, the Horwich Parish Church which has a large graveyard. Bolton has a large cemetery at Heaton which is off Chorley New Rd. Bolton Municipal Cemeteries, including Horwich, records are held in Bolton Archives and Local History Service and at the Overdale Crematorium Offices.
