The Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society (http://www.mlfhs.org.uk/) have announced that the revised & updated edition (2011) of the Registers in Manchester Archives & Local Studies ("The Pink Book") is now available. The Pink Book is a comprehensive list of the large collection of parish registers available at the Archives and Local Studies Unit in Manchester Central Library (temporarily relocated to City Library and GMCRO at the moment). Registers relate to Manchester and Salford and parts of the counties of Lancashire, Cheshire and the more recent Greater Manchester County, many of which date back to the 16th century.
