Hi Donna The entry in the Probate Calendar (available on Ancestry) reads as follows:- COLLINGE Matthew of Great Lever Lancashire tape sizer died 10 August 1894 Administration Jane Collinge widow Effects £643 8s. 8d. I think the word 'Administration' indicates that there was no will, but that his estate was passed on to his next of kin, Jane, but maybe someone else can explain this better to you.
