It is good of you to join us Robert as there are many questions I would like to ask you. The only definate thing I know abour you, was your marriage to Jane WYLDE in St Peters Bolton on the12th Sep 1824 and the fact that a daughter Ann was baptised in the same church on the26th Mar 1826. My ggrandfather John WALLWORK always maintained that he was born in Bolton in 1820 and you are the father. Is this correct or did Jane have a child by another party. I suspect, well its the only relevant baptism that I can find that John's baptism is at St Saviors Ringley on the 19th Nov 1820 with mother Jenny WILDE and no father given. Jenny's residence was stated as Outwood which I know is near Bolton. If you are the father why did you wait four years to marry Jane? If John is not your child do you know who the father was? When and where were you born and who were your parents? Jane remarried in 1834 in Manchester so you must have died before then- I cannot find your death so perhaps you can tell me what happened? John followed your occupation and eventually became a journeyman papermaker, living most of his life at various mills in Derbyshire. His first marriage was childless and he remarried after his wife's death. The second marriage had three children. Jane remarried after your death a Matthew RYON at Manchester cathedral on the 6th Apr 1834. They had three children. Matthew was also a papermaker so were you friends before your death. I cannot tell you what happened to Ann, the 1841 Census has a probable listing for her living on her own in Harperney near Manchester. Matthew and Jane lived there for a while before moving to Derbyshire Christmas wishes to you all Keith in Oz
