This was very interesting. I have no knowledge of the people but I know exactly where Hillcot was/is. I was invited there as a child and allowed to choose a doll from the playroom. I can't remember the name of the people who lived there then. It would have been about 1948/49. I don't imagine I was the only child treated this way. My brother was too and he chose a cricket bat.
