    3. Hi Jean, It usually means that some records, if not all of them, would be included for the years quoted. Unless there's a typo in the heading. 1. Re: [ENG-LAN-BOLTON] re updates (LAN-OPC)

    3. Jean, LAN-OPC normally transcribes one register at a time and usually, except in the case of larger registers, the transcriptions are published one register at a time. In the case of larger register the transcriptions are split into sections of manageable size and generally these end on a full year date boundary. However the registers themselves normally run through consecutive events until they are full and so register will frequently not start and / or finish on a full year boundary. As Sally has already explained, the dates quoted are inclusive and some transcriptions will be found for both quoted years but for the reasons outlined above the first and last years may not be complete. Here's an example where seven register books have been transcribed and you'll see that in each case the boundary years are split across the registers and that this split is faithfully reflected in the transcripts. The Register for Marriages at St Peter 1848 - 1879 with Surname Index The Register for Marriages at St Peter 1879 - 1913 with Surname Index The Register for Marriages at St Peter 1913 - 1930 with Surname Index The Register for Marriages at St Peter 1930 - 1935 with Surname Index The Register for Marriages at St Peter 1935 - 1943 with Surname Index The Register for Marriages at St Peter 1943 - 1950 with Surname Index The Register for Marriages at St Peter 1950 - 1957 with Surname Index Regards, Bob From: [1]jean.rostron@sky.com To: [2]ENG-LAN-BOLTON@rootsweb.com Date: Sat, 3 Sep 2011 10:57:34 +0100 Subject: [ENG-LAN-BOLTON] re updates Do the regular updates we get eg 1881-1906 at the online project include the yr shown eg 1906, or does it mean up to ? thank you Jean.
