Thank You Jacqui for that wonderful pic of Rothwell-Hick Iron Foundry. This would be great if it did happen to be the same one, although I doubt it, because Rothwell-Hick later became Hick-Hargreaves (I only know this because Hargreaves was one of the sons who came from Hart Common Farm, here in Westhoughton). I have another reference from the 1840's in Bolton to W & J Rigby, Iron Founder, Bradshawgate, Bolton, and the picture you sent me looks to be from a very early date, Thanks again Jacqui, much appreciated. Hi Pam, There is a reference to an Edward and John Rigby, Iron and Brass founders, Pilling Well Foundry, Bradshawgate in the 1836 Bolton Directory. Not there in the 1821 Directory.
