Just been watching the BBC4 programme about Bob Monkhouse and his large collection of comedy films, books, recordings. Whenever I have heard this discussed in the media I keep recalling been told years ago that he had stuff stored in a house in Bolton - around New Hall Lane. I have never been able to find any connection between him and Bolton so I don't understand this but sure I was told it at the time.
